Millbank Tower Project : Ecology

Millbank Tower Project : Ecology

Participating in the school course program "Curation and Show" was an invigorating experience. The project featured rapid installation, exhibition, and withdrawal, all within a single day. Over four days, each with a different theme, I was part of a group focusing on "ecology." This pop-up show format demanded intense focus and stamina, but it also infused us with fresh energy and perspectives.

What impressed me most was the brief yet concentrated nature of the show, which encouraged us to think quickly and adapt on the spot. Collaborating with fine art students from various majors was particularly stimulating, as it pushed me to explore new ways of presenting my work. For this project, I ventured into installation and object forms, moving away from my usual wall-based work.

"Curation and Show" was all things considered, an individual enjoyable challenge. It brought to light the value of teamwork and the advantages of pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. The quick pacing and variety of subjects gave my work a new look and emphasized how important flexibility is to painting.
Overall, the project was a satisfactory conclusion, providing valuable insights into the scalability and identity of my work. It made me realize the importance of giving myself more time and space to fully digest and develop my ideas. Themes of landscape, perception, and space continue to be central to my artistic practice, and this experience reaffirmed their significance.
